ABOUT

At Social Change HQ we work with clients to enhance their social and environmental impact using the B Corp standards and processes.

Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet high standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

B Corp Standards & Accreditation – Using the B Corp standards and B Impact Assessment (BIA) tool, we help businesses to measure and track their impact, and work with them to develop a road map for continuous improvement. We also help businesses seeking to become certified B Corps by stepping them through the assessment process and helping them develop impact improvement plans to embed sustainability into their core operations.

As a trained B Consultant, CEO Mei Ling has a deep knowledge of the BIA and can help you successfully navigate the B Corp certification process.

We work with organisations across a range of industries, from professional services, manufacturing to wholesale/retail, to help them better understand their impact in the world and how to improve it. Find out more about how Social Change HQ helped new B Corp Geowise certify.

Whether you wish to become a certified business or simply want to understand your performance, we will guide you through the BIA and advise on how to improve your score.

The B Corp Movement

Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet high standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. They are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.

B Corp Certification goes beyond product or service-level certification; it assesses the overall positive impact of the company that stands behind it.

To become Certified B Corps, companies must achieve a minimum score of 80 on the BIA — a rigorous assessment of a company’s social and environmental impact. This score is verified by the non-profit B Lab, and companies must publish their B Impact Report on the B Corp directory.

Companies are also required to recertify every three years, using the BIA as a roadmap for continuous improvement.

From navigating the B Impact Standards to identifying areas for impact improvement, becoming a B Corp can be a complex and rigorous process. Engaging a B Consultant to guide you through certification can make this process a lot simpler and easier for your team.
